Is it strong and durable enough for long-term use?
Yes—ModuRoom is engineered for long-term, everyday use. The panels are structurally reinforced and connected using a precision “tongue and groove” locking system that ensures a tight, stable fit—far more robust than standard sheds or flat-pack kits.
Will it leak or have water issues over time?
No. We use an integrated structural waterproofing system that prevents water from seeping through panel joints or roof edges, even in heavy rain. It’s built to perform in Australian weather.
Do I need council approval or a permit?
In most cases, no. If your ModuRoom is under 20–25 square meters, it typically qualifies for approval exemption under NSW regulations (*conditions apply). We’re happy to help you check based on your specific site.
My backyard is grass / sloped—can you still install it?
Yes. Our team will prepare the foundation using cement piers or footings based on your ground condition. ModuRoom can be installed on grass, decking, uneven or sloped surfaces with proper base support.
What size can I choose if I want to keep it under 20m²?
We offer a range of layout options like 2×4, 2×5, 3×3, or 3×4 panels—fully finished, flexible configurations that can stay within the 20m² exemption limit while meeting your space needs.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. ModuRoom is designed for modular assembly and comes with detailed manuals and video guides. You can DIY with basic tools, or choose our full installation service for a faster, worry-free experience.
How long does the installation take? Will it disrupt my daily life?
Once the modular unit is delivered to your home, installation usually takes only 1–5 days. The process is fast, tidy, and causes minimal disruption to your daily routine.
